How I Really Feel About My Book (Part 6 in the ‘Beyond the Book series)

A few years ago I wrote my first book, The Elephant in the Room – How to Overcome the Psychological Barriers to Weight Loss Success. It’s about the mental blocks to weight loss. While it is available in print on Amazon I would like to GIFT my book to you for free in pdf form.
If you would like to read it, click HERE.

Instead of telling you about what is in the book. I’d like to share the story BEHIND THE BOOK with you here in my blog.

This is PART 6 of The Story Behind The Elephant in the Room, How I Really Feel About My Book

Thanks for reading the ‘Beyond the Book’ series and allowing me to share the stories BEHIND the book with you. I hope you enjoyed them.

This is the final part in this series and I want to share something I have never shared publicly before…

I don’t like my book.

I mean, I love my book for a lot of reasons, but I don’t LIKE it.

If it had been left up to me I probably never would have published my book.
It was not, and still is not, good enough. I can do better.

I can’t read it. When I try to all I see are the things I should have done better.

But, I do know this. When the divine took my book from me and placed people and miracles in my path to make sure it was published I KNEW that the book was going to help a very special someone who needed it. Maybe that person is you.

If just ONE idea in this book plants itself, like a seed, in your soul that grows to bear the fruit of change for you in your weight loss and wellness journey then the book has lived up to my greatest dream.

If sharing my struggles and the struggles of the many women I have helped in my 20+ year career helps you to feel SEEN, CARED FOR and NOT ALONE, the way Mrs. Quarles made me feel, perhaps things can change for you, the way they did for me.

I don’t think my book is perfect. I don’t feel as though it conveys the love that I want the reader to feel. But, it definitely shines a light on many of the ‘elephants’ women battle in their weight loss journeys, and, by learning that others struggle with the same things you struggle with I hope and pray that you come to KNOW that you are not broken, there is nothing wrong with you and that there is hope.

Thanks, again, for joining me for this series I hope you enjoyed learning a little about the story behind the book and I hope you are enjoying the book.

If you could take a moment to leave a book review on Amazon I’d greatly appreciate it and it will help other amazing women, just like you, make the choice to pick up the book for themselves and start their own journeys to weight loss success.

Thanks for reading.

Still don’t have the book? I’m gifting it to you for FREE. You can find it HERE
